BORN IN THE HEARTLANDS

I was born a farmers daughter in the NW corner of Iowa. I began the pursuit of my passion for hair care at a very young age. I began building my clientele with my doll collection then progressed to all my girl friends at slumber parties. But soon discovered that Barbie would not be rebooking after I had cut all her hair off.

Soon after graduating from High School I set out on my quest to become a professional stylist in San Diego. I took the scenic route through Seatle then into Portland and realized I need not go any further after experiencing the beauty of the Pacific NW (luckily it was summer).

After completing my Cosmotology curriculum and State Board examines I set up shop as an Independent Stylist.

The early and lean days of building a small business taught me that just as important as creating great hair was the premium put on customer service. These business practices to this day remain the building blocks to the foundation of my successful career 30+ years later.

Looking back on my career in the early years it was all about the professional pursuit of a career. But now I have realized the best job in the world for me has come full circle. I get paid to play hair with so many close friends I've developed wonderful relationships over the years. We just don't get to have slumber parties! Thanks to all those who have helped me realize my professional dream.
